... the campaign to make bad businesses liable for consequential damage and loss
|04/02/2020||CAPE UNION MART, Canal Walk : 3rd pair of broken shorts from Cape Union Mart.|
In November 2019, I purchased a pair of Barkly Shorts from Cape Union Mart at Access Park, Bellville, but within a few weeks they had torn along one of the pocket seams.
I returned them to CUM at Tygerberg, where I was persuaded to pay an additional R200, to exchange them for Gabriel shorts.
A few weeks later, they also tore and I returned them to CUM Adventure Centre at Canal Walk, where they were exchanged.
A few weeks later in the Kgaligadi, the button-hole of that pair tore, but the Upington store refused to exchange them because I
didn't have the receipt - who takes all their receipts on holiday? I was thus forced to buy a new pair, which I did at Pick n Pay Clothing.
Mr Warren, Cape Union Mart owes me R600 for those shorts .... and R1560 for my petrol, travel and time. Kindly refund the total to the account details sent to your email.
